Help with myspace layout and text codes!?

OK...so my layout is cool and stuff, but when i want to type something in my about me section and i add a special effect to the letters like this code that maes the letters colorful...

%26lt;font color="COLOR"%26gt;TEXT%26lt;/font%26gt;

i do everything correctly...but the color doesnt show on the words..its the same color font as the rest of the page...

its the same thing as with all the rest of the text codes i use..

is there a code i have to adjust...or is it just hopeless?

is there something u put before the text..so it shows up?

look in your style sheets for where you have your profile's text/font/size/color set

if you see "!important" after those colors then that means no matter what you use later, that setting is the main setting it will always use.. you need to remove that word (and exclamation mark) and then you can do as you please with the fonts

It depends on how you put it in. Here is an example of correct usage.

%26lt;font color=green%26gt; Hey everyone. I love green.

Now if you want the color back to black, just change it with another code, %26lt;font color=black%26gt;

and then it will be black again...does this work?

%26lt;font color=red%26gt; TEXT%26lt;/font%26gt; Try that ** need to exchange out the color if you want say blue %26lt;font color=blue%26gt; TEXT%26lt;/FONT%26gt; and so on

only basic colors are allowed in the font color code

if the background color is the same color as the font color the text won't show up

try using %26lt;/font color%26gt; before %26lt;font color="blue"%26gt;
